WHAT IS THERAPY

There are various kinds of therapy (e.g., speech, physical), but the therapy provided by me is referred to as psychotherapy because it addresses psychological difficulties such as mental health and behavioral issues (e.g., anxiety, depression, problematic behavior). There are many different approaches to psychotherapy. My approach tends to be a combination of many approaches (e.g., Emotion Focused therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy) tailored to helping my client reach their desired goals. I believe in the importance of connecting with my clients to truly understand how they are feeling and to communicate my care, understanding, and non-judgment toward what they are experiencing. I want to provide both a place for them to talk freely as well as a place there they can receive guidance and information to help make progress.
